Stopped in the bar for Adult beverage and watch football games. Very good appetizers and drinks. Bar is rather small but the dining area is outstanding. Bar is secluded so, getting loud won't upset dining room.

We discovered the Double Eagle Resort and Spa while sightseeing around the June Lake Loop along Hwy 158, branching off Hwy 395 North of Mammoth. Observing the waterfall from the entrance to Eagles Landing Restaurant was timely to stop for dinner. Our hostes April did not only serve a delicious meal - she lobbied for the Double Eagle Resort and Spa. After breakfast the following day we opted for a daypass to explore the resort. We fell in love with the pristine facilities and the relaxing ambience to immediately book a weeks vacation for the next year. Now, after spending fourteen yearly vacations, we 'claim' cabin 114 our own. The staff wellcomes us as if we're are family and everybody pampers us. At the end of each visit reserve the cabin for the following year as we did just now for the year 2015.

Arriving in the beautiful surroundings of June Lake we were delighted that we had chosen Double Eagle as our stopover. Check in staff were efficient and friendly and the do advise you about the bears, despite earlier reviews! Our room overlooked Ron's Pond and was furnished just how we imagined a mountain resort to be.Rooms are spacious with a gas burner and hot air heating. Decking is furnished so you can sit and watched the ducks and fish in the pond.Bed comfy and huge. Jacuzzi bath is fab as well as separate walk in shower.Resort restaurant had friendly helpful staff and we can recommend the flat iron caesar salad (perfectly cooked). The spa was fantastic great hot tub and perfect size pool with loungers. Changing facilities, showers and steam room were fab. Great toiletries provided alongside robes hair dryers brushes and strightening irons. Shame we were only here for the one night.Truly wonderful place to stay.

We went up to June Lake area on a mini vacation. Stayed at June Lake Motel which was very nice...cabin feelng. Did the June Lake loop, went to Mono Lake, Convict Lake, etc. Beautiful weather....and views. We found this Resort by accident, stopped in and had a very nice dinner. The waiter was really nice, the chocolate martini was excellent and the food was reasonably priced. The wooden doors were beautiful The waiter brought another employee over who worked part time at the Mono Lake area and was very helpful on what to see, do, etc. at Mono Lake. Would consider going back for the spa, also.

We ate breakfast here and wished we would have spent the extra money to stay here. The food and service was amazing. The atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly.

You can do many things at the resort! Ialeays bring my family over to use the pool, massages, eat at the restaruant and many more! You can also learn how ro fly fish and their huge pond of trout fishes, and they are HUGE! From the Double Eagle to Silver Lake is about 6 minutes or so is also fantastic to go also! I hope that all the tourist people that are reading about the reviews goes to the resort! Make sure you stop by at the gift shop! This is a lovey resort that we are lucky to havein June Lake CALove,A local in June Lake CA

Stayed in the "motel" units which are a type of four-plex. Four buildings of two upper & two rooms. Rooms are quite spacious with very nice balconies or patios. Small tv for distance from viewing in bed. Nicely appointed bathroom - but no standard door, just a cheezy accordion 3/4 door that is more of a privacy screen - whoever designed this must have never stayed or lived in the mountains - can't get the bathroom warmed up. Very nice pool and spa facilities.

We decided to stay at the Double Eagle Resort in mid August 2011 for 2 nights on our way back from Lake Tahoe. We booked 2 nights at this "resort" based on the photos from it's website. Folks, don't be fooled by the nice photos on it's website. This is truely an overpriced , dusty gravel pit destination. The cabin that we paid $350 nightly for looked like it had not been upgraded in at least 10 years. There was a can of complimentry RAID at the door to help us fight off the Mosquitos swarming all over us. This is a dusty, gravel lined "resort" and was terribly overpriced for the product they were presenting. The cabin we were assigned was directly across the street from the "Whispering Pines" motel ( I'm serious !!) and we had a direct view of each shiny light from each of the motels rooms. I suppose this cabin ( #104) would be very good if you were "staking out" this motel !! We were offered a different cabin but the 2nd cabin that we were offered was just as old and moldy. The end result is that we had to leave this "resort" the following day and not stay a 2nd night. At least the folks at the Resort were kind enough to give us a refund for the 2nd night. There is no way that this is a $350+ a night destination. Maybe this place looks better in the winter but our Summer visit there was a real letdown and we were terribly disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful day at the spa. We both had services that we really enjoyed The facilities are beautiful, relaxing, peaceful and quiet. The staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. It is a very, very nice spa and we'll go back every time we visit June Lake. Prices seemed very reasonable. Then, after a picnic, a strenuous hike and afternoon of fishing, we came back later that day and relaxed in the spa and pool.

My husband and I spent one night here on our way south from Tahoe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in one of the upstairs rooms overlooking the pond - lovely. Food was good, service very good, views wonderful.

The Double Eagle is a beautiful place and while it may not be cheap it's worth it. The rooms we stayed in were the ones overlooking the small pond. They had little balconies and were dog friendly. We are going for the 4th of July and this will be our 5th time visiting. We would go more but it's a long drive from San Francisco. The hot stone massage is amazing and I love the fact you can sit in the hot tub watching the waterfall. The restaurant food is good and we always meet nice people there. It's very relaxing and chill with quite a bit of comfort. It's also close to my favorite place in Yosemite (Saddleback Lake). You don't have to stay there either to use the pool and hot tub. They have a day pass.

The overpriced pedicure doesn't come with a massage you have to pay more for that. So basically what you are paying for is a polish change. You are better off getting one before you come up or purchasing a massage.
