The New Roxy is a renovated, partially open-air theater, with awesome acoustics, lighting, and a way cool tiki bar. The New Roxy is undergoing a continual metamorphosis at the hands of the very cool owners, Robin Colonas and William Laidlaw. Though it is only open at present during festival season and during every-increasing longer visits by the owners, it is a must see if in town.Robin and William, in addition to awesome live blues, offer readings, acoustic sets on a back stage, and other eclectic events. Keep your eye on the New Roxy! It matters in Clarksdale! And, tell 'em Poor William and Magical Madge sent ya!

A great venue formed from the shell of a former theatre. No roof so you look out into the Mississippi sky.

Robin has brought the soul out of this ex-movie theater and into the 21st c. Beautiful brick walls and absent roof make for a crisp musical space, albeit sans seating. I brought my own chair, though I swayed the night away. Perfect place to hear Big Damn Band and Lightning Malcolm.

Small Bar, open air old gutted theatre building out back - no restrooms! You need to make an adjustment for things in Clarksdale.... So button down your shirt and relax.

This place is an old theatre that the roof is missing, on a clear night you can look up and see the stars. Clarksdale, Ms has a great Blues festival in April. Not too big, not too small. Several places to go listen to the music. Some free some have a cover.

The roof fell in years ago, no problem the open sky is overhead. They have added a second smaller stage, more area above floor level to watch from. This is one of the most unique music venues you will ever experience.

Got there early! The place looks great! They had various chairs! My son and I found one that would support my back! My son stayed to watch the seats. The loud lady came in yelling and grabbing chairs and grabbed mine! My son was saying excuse me, excuse me. A staff member told the lady not to be grabbing chairs...the performer yells leave her alone she is with me! So the staff person tells my son he'd get another chair then goes to the front door... I was getting drinks for my son and myself and when I returned my son was there without chairs he told me what happened. So I said let's go I'm not paying to see a guy who disrespects paying customers! We got to the door I asked for a refund, the staff guy that was supposed to get the chairs tells me I'll get your chair back! I explain I do not want to see a guy who disrespects fans like that! Then he starts yelling at me and my son! I asked for a manager and it got worse! So we left, the staff came out yelling at my son! Never again!

A very cool place to see a show and experience Clarksdale, it is a must see while visiting and one of the coolest spots in town all with a view of the stars.
