The first reason why we chose Naxos was for the beaches! We passed several times by car while exploring the island or going to Plaka beach and we underestimated Agios Prokopios. We thought it was something like Agios Georgios... Overcrowded & cheap. But then we gave it a chance and at the end of our trip we were just in love with it.The water is so clear and turquoise that all you wanna do is to lay down on a chair, feel the sand on your feet, but please don't order a pi?a colada... You were fooled to think you're at the Caribbean, but the cocktails will make you see you're not! Do yourself a favor and order a Mythos! Agios Prokopios is a Myth! Is paradise!

Agios Prokopios is one simple, plain, long city beach. Not much to say on this one. My boyfriend and I rented a car and explored almost all beaches around the island, while discarding the Agios Georgios beach and paying a quick visit to Agios Prokopios the very first day. When you have car on Naxos, visiting big and crowded city beaches is the last thing you want to do.So, Agios Prokopios is not as plain and crowded as Agios Georgios, but there is nothing interesting there. Very long and plain beach, ready to accept thousands of people. It is clean and ok as your choice for first day, or when you are too tired to go around and explore. If you want a special feeling of joy and adventure - won't happen. :)

Family friendly beach, water very shallow and clean. Can get very busy in high season. Sun beds and shades on offer at all beach bars, reasonably priced.Head for the last beach bar before windsurf area, great facilities bar and great food, very friendly atmosphere.

One of the best beaches I have ever been to in Greece! It was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend stopping by here and going to any of the people that have umbrellas..the prices are negotiable but most restaurants offer a seat and umbrella if you eat at their establishment.

Perfect for families, lots of tavern, lots of places to rent quads/bikes etc. 15 minutes from town. Cheaper accommodation available. Less windy than plaka

Our first stop while staying in Agia Anna was to walk up the main road to Prokopios Beach. Beautiful wide beach and crystal clear water. The sand is uniquely coarse, not the finer variety you will find nearby at Agia Anna or even more so at Plaka. Makes it easy to shake the sand off your towel!

It's not very crowded but the service was just OK. The water and the beach were nice. The bus stop is very close to the beach and there are a few restaurants for dining.

Beautiful long beach. Plenty of beach chairs. Sandy entry, snorkel, swim, watch the word go by. Visibility is excellent and easy to snorkel to rocky areas where you can see some marine life

Possibly one of the best beaches all over the world! Clear water, sandy organized beach, with umbrellas available. Gonna love it for sure!
