The town is relatively small, you can walk from one end to another. It has 2 main bridges. You should be able to spend the whole day in the city, walking and explore. For photography, this is an excellent place for human interest photography. For landscape, I think it is hard to get a sunrise or sunset photo. But if you walk early in the morning, you should be able to capture the misty that surrounds the town. I did walk up to the hill, unfortunately the sunset was not so clear. For moslem, there is satay seller on each end of Hong bridge. They sells sheep satay, very delicious. Unfortunately I couldn't find any other halal food in the city. Bring your own food or order white rice, boiled egg and fresh vegetable :)

If you travel to scenic places like Huangshan for the grandeur of massive mountainous ranges, Zhangjiajie for the rugged, pinnacle hills, Jiuzhaigou for the colourful lushness of a sedimentation valley and Beijing Forbidden City for a well-maintained walled city of dynastic imperial splendor, be very sure to visit Fenghuang Town in the province of Hunan. Though not very near to Changsha, the drive or bus ride there is definitely worth it for the opportunity to enjoy the placid and unassuming lifestyle still in existence and the houses built by the riverside, some still sitting precariously on stilts as in the ancient times (though many have made enough money to renovate and replaced them with a concrete wall or pillars). The reason why avid travelers and tourists MUST visit this beautiful town is the fact that with the influx of financial gains from the tourism industry, many of these houses will no longer have their stilts in the near future. And the quaint flavor of this very cosy and charming township will have changed forever.Take a walk along both sides of the river gently meandering through the town and absorb the wonderful and breath-taking sights! Be sure to take a careful saunter over the plank bridge spanning the width of the river and take a return route on concrete blocks. It is a good experience to savour.Take your time to spend the entire day there to try out the local cuisine, typically Hunan and spicy that delivers a kick, and the neon and led-lit environment after sunset. Take a lot of pictures. Some say Suzhou as a water town is the most beautiful of them all; however, to the writer Fenghuang possess its unique beauty nonetheless and carry itself proud and grand.

Horrible ciudad!!
